Fin.

Hello everyone,

I hope you’re doing well.  I leave Monday to go home.  This summer has been an incredibly odd blend of time feeling drawn out and time flying by.  I cannot believe my internship is coming to a close.  I’ll write in a few days to reflect a little on my time here, what I’ve learned, and share some experiences. For now…

Here’s a summary of the conclusion to my research.  The research question was, “How can GraceDC become best involved in Washington, DC’s H Street community, particularly in providing, supporting, and maintaining affordable housing.”

The short answer, based on three months of research, is:  GraceDC’s best involvement in the H Street community would be to prevent further loss of diversity, economic and racial, by maintaining low-income, affordable housing already existing in the target area, most commonly in the form of housing owned by senior, long-time residents.

Here’s a link to read the report if you would like. Final Report   I’ll talk more about my findings in a few days once I get outta here.

Peace,
Chris

thursday.

I’ll update everyone after Thursday… I have to give my presentation that night and I’ll be very busy until then.

Love,
Christopher.
