A whole week!

Well, I’ve made it a whole week in this capitol city of ours!  I’m doing most all of my work out of the house because it’s in the neighborhood I’m studying and because I have wireless here. Some nights the house can get kind of lonely; fortunately, my roommates are fun to hang out with then they’re home. I go running and walk through the neighborhood to get out of the house. I’ve been reading my Bible a lot, some John Irving, and a book called The God Delusion by Richard Dawkins (it’s a slow, but fascinating and sometimes scary read).  I want to try and write some music while I’m here, so when I get some free time I just might give it a shot.

I’m beginning to interview housing organizations tomorrow and I started mapping out the neighborhood’s vacant and for sale properties.  I’m about half way done and I’ve found 100.  That’s a lot for the size of the area.  Tax delinquent properties are next on the agenda I think.

Feel free to e-mail me.  I get really excited when friends and family write to me.  It gives me something else to do since the internship is just starting to get rolling. I’m going to walk around the city on Sunday before church… the lone adventurer.

Holler.

p.s. I’ve been reading through Acts and wonder what it would have been like to witness the coming of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost.
